AFPSAT Requirements 2027-2028

The Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test or the AFPSAT is the pre-entry examination for qualified applicants who wish to join the armed forces. If you are planning to join the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, or the Philippine Air Force, you must first take and pass this test administered by the Army Recruitment Office. To help you on the first step to your future military career, we will discuss the requirements, schedule and exam coverage of the AFPSAT this 2020. Based on recent 2026 announcements, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) is conducted regularly, with specific, recurring schedules at Army Testing Offices. The Army Testing Office in Mindanao (Camp Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro) holds AFPSAT for Officers on Mon-Wed/Sat and for Candidate Soldiers (CSC) on Thursdays, with PROFEX on Fridays.
AFPSAT & Related Exam Schedules 
  • Philippine Navy (NOCC/SBC): 13 and 15 January 2026 (6:30 AM) at NPMC Annex, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
  • Panay Island (Army): 18 April 2026 for Officer Candidate Course (OCC) and Candidate Soldier Course (CSC).
  • Mindanao (Army/Fixed): Ongoing, recurring weekly (Mon-Wed, Sat for OCC; Thu for CSC).
Key Information & Requirements:
  • Registration: Applicants are advised to register via this online link or through official Army Recruitment Office (ARO) Facebook pages.
  • Requirements: Bring original PSA Birth Certificate, Transcript of Records/Diploma, Valid ID, and a pencil.
  • Validity: AFPSAT results are valid for three years.
  • Cost: The exam is free of charge.
  • Attire: White shirt, maong pants, and rubber shoes.

AFPSAT Qualifications and Requirements

The AFPSAT is only given to those who are qualified to take the Officer Candidate Course, Officer Preparatory Course, or the Candidate Soldier Course. Do you want to find out if you are qualified? Basic Requirements:

If you think you have all the qualifications, please prepare the following basic requirements for the AFPSAT:

  • Birth Certificate in SECPA issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority
  • Original Transcript of Records and Diploma (for degree holders)/TOR for college undergraduates.
  • Original diploma with Form 137-A ( for high school graduate applicants but with Tesda or Vocational course certificate)
  • Valid ID (Government-issued)
  • 2 pcs 2×2 picture with white background
  • For female applicants, should be at least 72 units from college.
  • Mongol Pencil No.2.
